Rural King is opening its 150th store this week, and it’s in Florida. The chain of community retail stores offering farm and home essentials, livestock, pet supplies, and more has been expanding in recent years. The new store will be in Sebring in Highlands County.
“Opening our 150th store in Sebring is an incredible milestone for Rural King,” Rural King chief operating officer Michael Ladd said in a release. “As our country celebrates 250 years, we are proud to continue investing in communities like Sebring that represent the heart of America. This store reflects our commitment to serving hardworking families with the products they depend on every day.”
When, where is the new Rural King in Florida opening?
The grand opening for the new Sebring store runs Friday to Sunday, April 17-19, 2026, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, family-friendly events, giveaways, and in-store experiences, the release said.
Here’s the address for the newest store in the chain, Rural King, 907 US Highway 27 North, Sebring, Florida.
The first 150 customers on Friday, April 17, will enjoy a tasting event and a free tote bag. On Saturday, April 18, the first 150 customers will get a free Rural King hat, and kids can visit a petting zoo and get their faces painted.
Sunday, April 19, is Pets and Adoption Day, when the first 150 customers will get a free Rural King pet toy, and there will be pet adoption partners, pet washing, and grooming available.
Food trucks and in-store demos will be part of it on all three days, according to Rural King’s Facebook page. Customers who sign up for Rural King’s rewards program during the grand opening weekend will be entered for a chance to win one of four $500 Rural King gift cards.

Rural King stores evoke the old-fashioned general store, just on a much larger scale. Country music plays, free, freshly popped popcorn and coffee awaits, and your dog can get a free treat while you load up everything from clothing to feed to furniture to guns to tractors to live chickens to boots to pet supplies to beekeeping materials, and much more.
The farmer supply store, also known as RK Holdings, LLP, started in Mattoon, Illinois, in 1960, but now has stores in 13 states.
